Multifactor Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a two-step process for logging in. First you log in on your laptop or desktop computer, then you are asked for verification from a cell phone or landline.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is used in cloud applications, such as Workday, to keep WPI's data secure. In this two-step process, first you log into the web application. After you have entered your username and password, you are asked for an additional verification. This additional factor for authentication can be configured to use an app on your mobile device, a text to your mobile phone, or a call to any phone (including your office line). After verification, you will be granted access to the application.

If you prefer instructions with images, they are available in PDF format on the WPI portal in Training Materials.
