Salesforce Degraded Performance
Salesforce objects may not be accessible
Salesforce Sales Cloud is currently experiencing performance issues. During a performance degradation, end users are able to access the service, however, some functionality within the service may not be available or running at optimal performance. Salesforce is working urgently to resolve this and will provide information as they learn more.
While Salesforce login is successful, certain Salesforce objects (leads, accounts, opportunities, contacts) cannot be seen.
WPI Information Technology system administrators are monitoring the issue closely, and will provide updates when available from Salesforce.

Salesforce Operations Restored
WPI users should be back to normal now. If any issues occur, please contact your business department system admin.
From Salesforce: All production instances are now out of service disruption and in a performance degradation state as service levels return to normal. During a performance degradation, end users are able to access the service, however, some functionality within the service may not be available or running at optimal performance. We continue working to resolve remaining issues.

Salesforce Restores User Permissions
User permissions for the majority of customers have been restored. WPI still hase some access permissions issues that are being manually resolved, and the Salesforce Working Group will continue to review. Users can now login to the system; please contact your business department's system admininstrator for help or if you notice any missing system permissions.

Salesforce Restores Administrator Access
From Salesforce: "We have restored administrators' access only to all affected orgs. We are preparing a set of instructions for admins that may need guidance on how to manually restore those permissions. As soon as the instructions are final, we will inform admins via an email that will contain a link to the instructions."

Salesforce Continues Work toward Restoring Service
Salesforce Update: "We continue to work on restoring access and permissions for customers affected by the permissions issue. During the restore process, some affected customers may receive error messages related to account status, billing, or single sign-on functionality after logging into Salesforce. There is no action you need to take if you receive these messages. We will update you with additional details and information on this situation as they become available."

Impact to Salesforce Customers
The Salesforce Technology team blocked access to certain instances of Salesforce that contain customers affected by a database script deployment. This deployment inadvertently gave users broader data access than intended. Salesforce has started unblocking customers who were not affected by the permission issues. They are also working to restore the original permissions as quickly as possible for customers that were affected. WPI's Salesforce access remains blocked.

Additional Update from Salesforce Part 1
The Salesforce Technology team is investigating an issue impacting Salesforce customers who use Pardot, or have used Pardot in the past. The deployment of a database script resulted in granting users broader data access than intended. To protect our customers, we have blocked access to all instances that contain affected customers until we can complete the removal of the inadvertent permissions in the affected customer orgs.

Status Update from Salesforce
"The Salesforce Technology team is investigating an issue impacting Salesforce customer orgs that have Pardot provisioned, or had Pardot provisioned, in those orgs. A subset of customers may experience intermittent errors, slow performance or an inability to access the Salesforce application. Additionally, all customers on CS3 may see availability impact." WPI IT will continue to check for updates.
