Notification

As a new employee, you will receive a personal email notifying you of your WPI email address. Use the WPI email address, to perform the password reset, multi-factor authentication setup and then login to the WPI Portal. Note: These are prerequisite steps to completing the Workday onboarding tasks.

Requirements

  • WPI email address
  • Access to mobile device for text or call notification
  • Access to personal email address for notification

Login

Self Service Password Reset (SSPR)

The SSPR service allows you to reset your password using a verification method via phone number or an alternate email address. Create a password for your account and configure SSPR for future password resets.

SSPR is required to access certain WPI resources, including WPI email and Canvas.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

The MFA service provides an extra verification method for secure login and usage. Note: This verification method is only being used by a handful of applications at this time.

Note:

Please set the option for Office Phone once you know your WPI phone extension and are present in the office to complete the setup.

Once SSPR and MFA have been configured, test your login to Workday!

New Employee Technology Orientation

New Employees are encouraged to attend New Employee Technology Orientation at the start of your employment, provided by the IT Service Desk. This is often scheduled through the Division of Talent & Inclusion - Human Resources or the hiring department. New Employees are also welcome to contact the IT Service Desk to schedule. During the session IT staff assist with testing access to storage and applications, and provide an introduction to Information Technology Services.
